I finally booked a nice loss yesterday. All 100/200. There was one situation that almost never comes up that happened.
I raised pocket eights and the guy to my immediate left called me and right after calling looked at his cards again without protecting them and I saw king jack. The small blind called and we took the flop 3 ways.
The flop came KT8 with 2 diamonds.
The small blind checked, I bet, the guy raised, small blind check 3 bet. Now it's an interesting spot. The king jack guy is pretty straight forward and I think that if I show enough strength here he can maybe get away from his hand and I surely don't want that, so I opted to call. He 4 bet and the small blind called. I just called. Since I felt like there was a very large chance he'd bet the turn if it wasn't a diamond I was going to check-raise.
The turn came a 5 of diamonds and the small blind came firing out. I called and the guy called.
The river was the 9 or diamonds and he bet again. I knew the guy behind me had the jack of diamonds and I really felt the small blind had a flush he would never fold so I folded.
The guy called and the small blind rolled over Q6dd to take the pot.
I know we often talk about how we're so sure a guy had this or that hand, but when you actually know a guys hand it's interesting. I'm sure there are some people who think it's bad to not say anything in this spot, and sometimes I do, but I'm already in the pot and he just showed them to me, it's his fault.

when running well
I had a really funny thing happened last night...
A really nice weak tight guy (who folded an ace face up on the button when folded to him a few minutes before) raised and I 3 bet the jack ten right behind him. An acquaintance friend of mine who I've been beating up on called in the small blind and the nice man called.
The flop came A98 with 2 clubs.
The small blind checked, the man checked, I bet, the small blind check raised, the guy looked at the board and said to himself kinda a88 right? I wish one of those 8's was a 9 and mucked his hand. I 3 bet and the small blind called.
The turn brought another 8 and the small blind check folded.
The player to the right of the nice man then piped having seen the nice man's cards which were pocket nines. The man was super flustered. I said I had AQ cause there was no reason to create animosity between either him or the small blind who folded QQ. He stirred and stirred for about 10 minutes and asked kindly for a chip back, which he had earlier let Steph off in the big blind for 2 back. Obviously I didn't want to give them to him as I'm just not super generous to random gamblers I don't know but he seemed like a real nice guy who made an embarrassing mistake in which I came out about 2k ahead and I didn't want karma to kick me in the face so I tossed him a couple greens. Kind of a tough spot in a way. Maybe not for a lot of people cause they're super nice and giving, but when a guy you don't know asks for $$$ in a poker game when you're a pro it's tough in my opinion.

2 days ago I had a losing day, but I'd hardly call it one cause I only played for an hour and a half before grabbing dinner with david and then playing some golden tee with him and dusty. So, technically the streak was ruined, but I don't really think so because I didn't want to degen it up just to keep it alive and 1.5 hours hardly counts as a day of poker.
Anyhow, yesterday I played a few hours online and crushed again. Mostly 30/60 with some 15/30 HUHU sprinkled in. I ordered room service and told a super moron that I'd be right back i had to get hte door, but he obviously bounced. :(
When I got down to the card room at about 530pm I couldn't get on the $100/200 so I got in a $10/20NL game. My first orbit I picked up kings and raised and just the blind called and check raised a 966 flop with not a lot behind so I went all in and a K came on the river to beat his AA. Woops. I bluffed a guy nicely too. I raised Q9o in middle, just the button called. Flop AA5. I pot he calls. Turn J I check he bet 400 into like 700 maybe? I make it like 1260, he tanks and folds. A few hands later I got A7s and flop Q86 2 heart I check call. King of hearts on turn I check she small bets I check raise 3x or so, she calls. River bricks and I go all in and she shows 888 and folds. :( darn.
So yeah won a bunch at nl which is always fun. Also picked up a nice little win at 100/200 again too. Yay :)
Kels just got in the room so blah blah blah gotta finish up.

5 for 5
Schneider and I went back down to the poker room at 2am. There was open seating at $10/20 no limit so I hopped in that. Got down to HUHU with a nice guy who told me he was pretty much trying to give his money away to me cause he has plenty and it's time for bed. I would have covered him but honestly I feel that my HU NL game is pretty weak so I stuck with my 2500 or so and he had mb 5k. I double through after about 10 minutes and then we had to goto the must move :( Still, stacking somebody at NL live is so much fun. Just handed me a pile of 23 100 dollar bills
Shortly thereafter moved to $100/200 and it was a fun game. Started full but quickly got shorthanded and I always like that. I was actually down a couple thousand at one point cause schneider beat me up but the poke gods have my back and I came storming back. Eventually the must move broke and I was last on the list so I had to wait like an hour to get in the game again, so I took that opportunity to call kels who was getting ready to goto work. 2 more days til she's here!
Time to grab a shower and some food and play some more.

other things
I woke up yesterday and tried really hard for a few hours to convince schneider to go to the pool as going alone just didn't have a great apeal. Didn't happen. Played 4 or so seperate online sessions but kept running bad and felt like my image was bad so I quit. Schneider brought his Wii and Ian J had talked about wanting to play sometime so I called him and he came up to play. It took us an hour or so to figure out hooking it up to the stupid hotel tv, but the Bellagio rocks and sent a person from engineering to show us how. Nice!
After an hour or so of Tennis Kirby texted Ian saying he just won another single table satellite (go figure) at the rio. We ordered room service and a couple bottles of wine and indulged ourselves in tiger woods. None of us had ever played before so it was really tough. I can see lots of potential in that game but for a bunch of n00bies without anyone who knows the game to explain it was very hard.
Then we played some 4 player tennis...kirby and schneider were no match for ian and I. Kirby went to bed so then Ian and I decided to play some online together. Played about 3 tables of 30 and won 150 bets in like 700 hands. LOL. Went from down 4500 to up 3600 haha. Some more Wii was in store so we finished out mario party game and called it a night.
Went golfing today at Reflection Bay. The temp was 102 so it was a little warm. I had never played a jack nicholas course before so it was pretty cool. The pin locations seemed extra hard given how small/narrow/bunker protected the greens were The hardest part tho was the rental clubs because of the lack of a lob wedge. It's just really hard to get a sand wedge over the bunker to stop without rolling 10 feet from 45 yards or else it will go in the bunker over the green.
Still a great time and I'm really glad I got to experience it.
I came back, showered, and went to play poker. The $100/200 game was ok at the start and I hadn't eaten much so I got the standard (for me) tuna sandwich and chili. An old guy sat down who had that old vegas nit look to him and I played one of those once per trip hands:
I raise in middle with aces, he 3 bets in the CO, both blinds call, I 4 bet, he caps VERY confidently, almost as if he was a young cocky kid. We all call.
Flop T53 with 2 diamonds. Checked to me and I bet, he flings out a raise yet again, sb folds, bb check 3 bets it, I call 2 cold, old man wings a 4 bet out there as if he has 5 kings, kid calls, I call.
Turn 3 of hearts, kid checks, I check, old guy bets again, kid calls, (ok now I know I have the best hand) I call.
River J of spades, kid checks, I check, old guy slingshots 8 chips out there, kid thinks for awhile, looks at me and then calls, I check raise, old man begrudgingly calls, kid folds, I win a sea of green. Num num. big 4/8 chip pots are so fun to scoop.
The game got really bad and I was tired so I came up to the room for a nap after like 2 hours. Winner of $133!!! Took a nap then played some more 30 on stars and man has it been going well
So far since coming to vegas, online:

Now I'm gonna go back down and see how the games are. Maybe I'll play some more no limit if nothing else.

The luck continues
There was a good $300/600 game going that I couldn't resist given how well things have been going and how i felt and how good it was so I played. I played a little $500/1000 when I was in LA in march but I only had $200/400 of myself and given how much $400 buy-in NL and 15/30 I've been playing lately it was a big step up. I gave it much focus and I was really happy with my play in general. Won half a rack and wasn't all the way feeling it and the game wasn't playing super great so I quit to play a 4 handed 100/200 game.
Dan Druff was majorly steaming and out of chips and playing with cash and when the last guy left it was me and him and he woulda played HUHU but said the fact they need to use the shuffle machines instead of a hand shuffle had him on too much tilt that he had to quit. Dammit.
I played an hour or so of 2 tabling $30/60 online today and it went really well. I don't get what people's deal is...they try SOOOOOOOOO hard to bluff me it's sick. Playing 2 tables it's so easy to pick up on. I think that was part of my problem, playing more tables I'd have no idea with the individual reads.
So...4 days, 4 wins. I don't even feel like playing right now so I came up here to just kinda hang out. I wasn't even really planning on playing today but schneider kinda talked me into it. I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring but I think I'm golfing on monday with Doug (gonores).
For now...some relaxation.

I was right
I definitely used up my bad luck at home and all I had left was the good luck for vegas. A 3 day winning streak! lol. Good things happen to people who wait...and who talk to schneider a lot. Although he blew his brains in hard at $200/400.
It's been pretty fun out here so far. Some mn friends who now live in SD drove through last night so I hung out with them. We played some craps at the sahara where they got a free room. It was actually kinda cool cause it was $5 min instead of $10 or $25 so you just bet smaller but kept up max comebets/odds and covered more with less $ invested than normal.
As I was brushing my teeth a few minutes ago I realized I ate my meals today in the exact opposite order: for breakfast I had a steak and mashed potatoes at like 6pm. For 'lunch' (if you can ever call an 11pm meal lunch) I had a bowl of chili and for dinner (at 6am) I had english muffins with peanut butter/jelly and a bowl of rice krispies.
Bed time.
